Luton Sexual Health and Enhance the UK are working together to run a friendly and inclusive sexual health event.
This event is for people with learning disabilities. It is a safe and welcoming space to learn, ask questions, and share what matters to you.
Parents, carers, and support staff are very welcome to attend alongside service users.
What is this event about?
This event is a chance to:
- Get to know the sexual health clinic
- Meet the people who work there
- Feel more confident about using sexual health services
It is also a space where we want to listen to you.
We want to hear:
- What you need
- What you would like more information about
- What would help make sexual health services better for you
You can join in, ask questions, or just listen. There is no pressure to speak.
What to expect on the day
During the event, you can:
- Meet staff from Luton Sexual Health
- Meet the Enhance the UK Love Lounge team
- Learn what happens when you visit a sexual health clinic
- Take a short tour of the clinic
- Talk about sexual health, relationships, and wellbeing
- Take part in simple, interactive activities
- Ask questions in a safe and respectful space
- Share feedback to help improve services
There will also be opportunities to speak one-to-one with the Love Lounge team.
About The Love Lounge
The Love Lounge is a relaxed and confidential service run by Enhance the UK.
It supports disabled, Deaf, and neurodivergent people to talk openly about:
- Love
- Sex
- Relationships
- Body image
All Love Lounge staff are disabled themselves, so support is based on real lived experience.
On the day:
- You can book a free 15-minute one-to-one taster session
- This gives you a chance to see what a full Love Lounge session is like
