The event
Join us to help create eco-friendly costumes for Le Méga Malade Imaginaire, the production by the youth theater troupe Le Petit Petit Théâtre, which will be presented in May 2026 at Alliance Française Vancouver.
You’ll have the chance to transform and customize secondhand textiles using sewing techniques.You’ll be guided by artist Cécile Raizonville and work in small groups for a personalized experience.

The artist
Cécile Raizonville
Cécile Raizonville, originally from Toulouse, graduated from the Felicidad Duce Fashion Institute (now Lasalle College) in Barcelona in 2010. With two collaborators, she founded the Matière Noire brand in Montreal in 2013, which made a name for itself on the Canadian fashion scene. She moved to British Columbia in 2016 and has since been teaching garment making at the studio she founded (), helping others connect to craft and couture. She enjoys collaborating creatively with local textile and fashion organizations while contributing to the sustainable transformation of modern Fashion culture.
