Curious about sewing but unsure which machine is right for you and how to use one? Or maybe you’ve got one collecting dust and want to finally learn how to use it properly for years or decades to come! Join us for a fun and informative session on how to use and care for a sewing machine - try several, and choose the right one for you! This hands-on workshop is perfect for beginners or anyone looking to build more confidence behind the machine.

In this 3-hour session, you’ll learn:
– Sewing machine anatomy, and how to use almost any sewing machine
– How to properly thread and operate a sewing machine
– Tips to troubleshoot common issues (like tangled thread,skipped stitches, using the right needle etc)
– Regular upkeep and maintenance to keep your machine in great shape
– What types of projects your machine is best suited for and which machine you should get
– Practice common sewing skills on a sewing machine

You will receive handouts and a PDF document on the above information to take home with you for future guidance!

Bring your own machine if you have one (not required!), plus a notebook + pencil. We'll also have machines and tools available for use.
