Learn how to clean and maintain your sewing machine with one of our Stitch Mentors volunteers. In this class, you will learn the basics of taking your machine apart to clean and oil it, with some basic diagnostics and troubleshooting. Participants are encouraged to bring their own sewing machine for this class. Tickets are $15 for Guelph Tool Library members, and $20 for non members. $30 benefactor tickets help provide free or discounted registration for someone facing financial barriers, and include a ticket for you! If you are facing financial barriers and require a discounted ticket, please reach out to the GTL via [email protected]. Class size is limited and pre-registration is required. Due to space limitations, a ticket is valid for one person and one machine only.
This class will not focus on repair of broken or seized machines, as that is best handled by a professional. The Guelph Tool Library cannot be held liable for the condition of your sewing machine and any potential damages it may incur during this class.
