About this Event
This is a story of solidarity and how a small group of physicians and activists came together to challenge systemic inequity and change global health forever.
The award-winning documentary follows Ophelia Dahl, Paul Farmer, and Jim Yong Kim — three young idealists who began by delivering healthcare in a squatter settlement in rural Haiti in the 1980s and went on to spark a global movement for the right to health for all. Executive produced by Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, and others, the film premiered at Sundance Film Festival in 2017 and has since screened at festivals and theatres across Canada and the US.
Join us at The Bookshelf in downtown Guelph for a film screening, followed by a panel discussion with members of Partners In Health (PIH) Canada and the Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment (CAPE).
Whether you're new to global health issues or deeply invested in them, this is an evening worth your time.
