SET4Success Peer Professional Development Training: Session 1

This 2-hour session covers the topics Getting Started: Your Path to Success + Work & Recovery.
About this Event

“SET4Success” (Supportive Employment Training) is a set of workshops on peer professional development offered by BestNow!, a program of Peer Wellness Collective.

For over 20 years, Peer Wellness Collective and BestNow! have assisted people with mental health, substance use, and trauma-related histories in setting employment goals and in providing them with the tools necessary to achieve them.

SET4Success (S4S) workshops build on that history and are specifically designed to assist people in recovery to get to work for the first time, return to the workforce after an absence, or change careers to work as a Peer Support Specialist.

BestNow! offers four 2-hour S4S workshops on topics relevant for peer professionals. Please register separately for each workshop topic you'd like to attend. You're welcome to attend them in order, or whenever your schedule allows.

Topics covered each session include:

Session 1: Getting started (Your Path to Success + Work & Recovery)
Session 2: Job Readiness (Cover Letters, Resumes, Interviewing, & More)
Session 3: Personal Wellness for Peer Professionals (Self-Care, Boundaries, Stress Management, & More)
Session 4: Wellness in the Workplace (Workplace Expectations, Community Care, Professional Development, & More)
