Goblet Goals: Build It, Sip From ItReady to feel slightly medieval but in a very classy way? Join Jo Pilston Pottery for a hands-on class where you’ll create a set of TWO ceramic wine goblets using the beautiful hazelnut clay—because wine just tastes better out of something you made yourself.
In this class, you’ll learn essential handbuilding techniques, including scoring and slipping, and how to work with stiffer clay to build goblets that actually hold wine (important detail). You’ll have the freedom to add texture or keep things clean and simple, and yes—you can carve the stem… or not. Smooth? Textured? Fancy? Rustic? You choose. This is your goblet era.
All supplies are provided, so just show up ready to get a little messy and have a lot of fun.
Once class wraps up, Jo will take your goblet masterpieces back to the studio to be glazed and fired to your specifications—the magical part where clay becomes functional art.
Your finished set of two wine goblets will be ready for pickup in 2–3 weeks, just in time to elevate your next wine night and casually say, “Oh these? I made them.”
✨ Warning: store-bought wine glasses may never emotionally recover.
Class is $70
