Sessions at Stained Glass is a monthly concert series from the music studio of Peter Smith. For vol.19, we will feature vocalist Ty Taylor. Ty is a force of nature, delivering soulful and stirring performances whenever he takes the stage. The lead singer for Vintage Trouble for many years, Ty has also starred on broadway and collaborates with Peter on his jazz project "Nouveau Mid-Century Romance Songbook." Rounding out the band are frequent collborators in this project: David Wise (sax), Peter Smith (piano), Jonathan Richards (bass), Jon Davis (drums).
There will be light refreshments served, free of charge.
Stained Glass Music Studio is located in the First Baptist Church of Pasadena. Parking meters are not enforced on Sunday. Alternately, you can park in the garage at 150 E. Holly Street 91101. You can park in any blank spot or any spot marked "First Baptist Church." Bring in your garage ticket for validation. Someone will meet you at the front door on Marengo and guide you upstairs. Important*: there are two short flights from the second floor (8 steps each) up to the studio, which are unavoidable. There is no elevator access to the space itself.
