Self-Harm Network Scotland offers free Self-Harm Awareness Training for professionals based in Scotland.

The Self-Harm Network Scotland (SHNS) is passionate about raising awareness and reducing stigma around self-harm. Our aim is to develop and deliver informative and accessible training and resources to help improve understanding of self-harm.

These 3 hour sessions will dive deep into the underlying reasons for self-harm and give information, tools and resources that can be used to support people who self-harm. These are engaging training sessions with the opportunity for group discussion activities, allowing a deeper understanding of self-harm.

These sessions will cover topics including:

Underlying causes of self-harm
Functions of self-harm
Practical guidance in supporting people who self-harm

Sessions will take place via Zoom and the joining link can be found at the bottom of your confirmation email.

This training is for professionals based in Scotland and will be prioritised accordingly.
