Women’s Self-Defense & Personal Safety Workshop In light of what’s been happening around the country, Wappingers Wellness is honored to offer a Women’s Self-Defense & Personal Safety Workshop, a supportive, empowering space to build awareness, confidence, and practical skills you can carry into everyday life.
This 2-hour, hands-on class is designed to help women feel more grounded, prepared, and confident, not fearful. You’ll learn how to recognize potential threats, trust your intuition, and respond effectively if a situation ever arises.
This is about empowerment, not panic. Strength, not intimidation. Confidence, not fear.
What You’ll Learn
✨ Situational awareness & prevention
✨ Practical, real-life self-defense techniques
✨ How to use your voice, body language, and instincts
✨ Confidence-building skills you can apply immediately
No prior experience is needed. Movements and techniques are approachable and adaptable for all bodies and fitness levels.
Who Can Attend
* Women of all backgrounds are welcome
* Teens 13+ may attend with a parent or guardian
* Open to anyone who wants to feel safer, stronger, and more confident

Your Instructor, Lorraine, is a black belt in the Korean martial art of Tae Kwon Do. She has been practicing for 33 years and teaching at Freedom Tae Kwon Do for almost 20 years. Tae Kwon Do has been vital to the development of her self-esteem and confidence, physical abilities, and mental
wellness.
This workshop is offered with care, respect, and sensitivity. Participation is always optional, and you are encouraged to move at your own comfort level.
