SEEDS is a 5Rhythms one-day workshop dedicated to peace, love and hope even in the face of devastation, loss and uncertainty. Through the 5Rhythms map, we will dance together and viscerally experience movement as a healing art; within ourselves, and with each other.
We will bring curiosity and openness into our dance:
How might we transform feelings of hopelessness, breathe life force into ourselves and support each other and our communities?
In which ways may we meet our own doubts and fears to weave into the courageous act of love?
What is life as a moving vessel of creative action - no matter the pain - whenever we dare to step in and through?
SEEDS is open to everyone who holds space in their heart for life, freedom, dignity and justice for the Palestinian people.
You are invited to bring an object that represents HOPE or RENEWAL with you to place on the installation for these prayers.
Contact Mika, Saria or Selda by email ([email protected]) for bank details:
Please arrive at 10:30am.
Suggested donations:
Standard: £60
Concession: £45
Please feel welcome to donate more if you feel called or if you cannot join us for the workshop.
Please also contact us if you feel you are able to donate less, as we better have you there than not at all.
All proceeds will go directly to the Shawwa Gaza Emergency Relief. This relief fund began as a family and friends initiative in December 2023. Because the Israeli government has systematically weaponized water against the Palestinians, the Shawwa Gaza Emergency relief focuses specifically on this vital and basic human right - access to clean water.
-ZERO administration costs and overheads – every member of Shawwa is a volunteer.
· NOTHING is deducted from any contribution and the entire donation goes directly to Gazans in need.
About Samar Linn
Born in Cyprus to a Palestinian father and American mother, Samar Linn was initiated from the start into a world of different cultures, a wide range of perspectives and the way human behavior is influenced by its stories. She draws from her certification in 5Rhythms® and training in Integrative Coaching and Somatic / Emotional Bodywork in a series of signature formats.
Samar’s Palestinian lineage and hope for equality and peace led her to different peace groups, awareness initiatives and volunteer roles throughout her adult life.
She will be joining us in Manchester for a second time to lead a 5Rhythms Fundraiser for Gaza. Previous (sold out) workshop, WINGS, raised over £2,400 for Gaza.
