Join the guided tour of the Manchester Museum basement led by Dr. Njabulo Chipangura for a unique and enriching experience of Islamic Cultural Objects Exhibition.
Dr. Njabulo Chipangura will take groups of 10 people to view objects that have never been on public display.
The behind-the-scenes tour is part of the museum’s ambition to truthfully disclose cultural heritage objects that it holds from colonial contexts by collaborating with diaspora communities as part of its effort to decolonise knowledge production. The dialogue and conversations that are going to be generated from this tour will help the Manchester Museum to improve provenance and biographical information on Islamic cultural heritage objects.
