A new film playing at the Science Center's OMNIMAX® Theater during the summer and fall months, Secrets of the Sea takes audiences face-to-face with an astonishing array of marine life to highlight the fascinating ways they interact with each other and their environment.
From pygmy seahorses and opalescent squid to giant manta rays, tiger sharks, barnacle blennies, a coconut octopus, and much more, the film (named “Best Film of the Year (Short Subject)” at the 2023 GSCA Achievement Awards) demonstrates the critical importance of marine biodiversity to keeping our oceans healthy, showing how so many of the ocean’s animals depend on one another for survival.
Rated G (for all audiences), Secrets of the Sea runs approximately 45 minutes.
