A NEW CULTURAL GEM FOR PHILADELPHIA
Introducing the Dina Wind Art Foundation / John Wind Studio
A century-old South Philadelphia firehouse stable has been reborn as one of the city’s most unique and new private art spaces.
Inside, over 300 dynamic welded metal sculptures and abstract paintings by the late artist Dina Wind (1938–2014) share space with the working jewelry and fine art studio of her son, John Wind, acclaimed fine artist, jewelry designer, and president of the Dina Wind Art Foundation.
The building, a stunning renovation by Eberlein Design and Canno Design, was honoured with a 2022 Preservation Alliance Achievement Award, seamlessly blending heritage with contemporary creativity.
Now, for the first time, the space is welcoming visitors by appointment. Guests are invited to tour the studio and collection, enjoy refreshments on the rooftop sculpture deck, and explore and purchase a curated selection of bespoke and fashion jewelry, fine art, catalogues and books—all in support of the Foundation’s mission.
This is more than a gallery—it’s a deeply personal creative environment that celebrates fierce women artists, multi-generational artistry, fashion-forward design, and the behind-the-scenes process of a living contemporary artist. An intimate, high-impact experience for both Philly locals and adventurous travelers.
