ABOUT OUR GUESTS: Leilani Nakagawa (She/Her) and Joy Davina (She/Her)
Leilani first discovered her love of West Coast Swing in 2009, and that passion has grown into a dynamic career as an All-Star level dancer and teacher. Known for her thoughtful and engaging approach, Leilani is dedicated to helping dancers understand the “why and how” behind the movements they learn, empowering them to build both skill and confidence. Continually inspired by the artistry that West Coast Swing makes possible, she is driven by a mission to share the joy, creativity, and connection of this dance with as many people as she can.
Joy Davina loves WCS and is thrilled to create programs and workshops with Leilani Nakagawa. She teaches beginner to advanced classes weekly at Uptown Dance Studio (Tigard, OR). On the circuit she competes at the all star level and has performed in both classic and showcase rising start routines. She continues to study and improve her craft and never tires of endless possibilities in dance. She is truly excited to be here and share with you.

2:00 pm Open Floor Practice and Private Lesson Time.

Prerequisite: No WSDC points required to attend. Make sure you are comfortable with all basic patterns and a few variations (Push, Pass, Tuck, Whip).
5:00 pm All Levels WCS Workshop with Leilani and Joy : "Plot Twists in Motion: Surprising Spins"
Prerequisite: Know basic patterns (Push, Pass, Tuck, Whip).
5:30 pm FREE 1 Hour Beginner Lesson with Miles Van de Wetering (upstairs)
6:00 pm Social dance starts, with DJ Rebecca
6:30 pm Competition Registration Ends
