Seated Pilates for Back CareMondays, 11:00 – 11:45 am
Borth Community Hall
This class is designed for people who find it difficult to get on and off the floor but still want to improve strength, balance, and confidence in movement.
The session is chair-based, using a combination of seated and supported standing exercises. It allows you to exercise safely while still gaining the benefits of Pilates. The focus is on helping you move more easily in everyday life.
Each class begins with gentle movements to reduce stiffness and prepare the body. This is followed by simple, controlled exercises to build strength in the core, hips, and back. These areas support posture, stability, and help reduce strain on joints.
You may also include light standing work using the chair for support. This helps improve balance in a safe and controlled way.
This class is suitable if you experience back or joint pain, feel stiff or unsteady, or are returning to exercise. It is also ideal if you prefer a slower, more supported approach. No previous experience is needed.
Regular attendance can improve strength, balance, and mobility. Many people notice greater ease with daily activities such as standing, walking, and sitting. Progress is gradual and built over time.
The class is calm and supportive. Clear guidance is given throughout, and you are encouraged to work at your own pace.
Rachel has over 35 years of experience in the fitness industry. She is a Level 4 Back Care Practitioner with a BSc in Sports and Exercise Science. Her sessions are safe, effective, and adapted to individual needs.
