Join this online session on 11 Feb 2025, 9am to contribute to Melbourne Water's planning for environmental water delivery in the Yarra (Birrarung) and Tarago & Bunyip catchments.
Each year, Melbourne Water develops a Seasonal Watering Proposal according to our statutory obligation under the Water Act 1989. Our Seasonal Watering Proposal assists the Victorian Environmental Water Holder (VEWH) to develop it’s Victorian Seasonal Watering Plan. This annual planning document outlines what environmental water releases will occur in the following year (July to June).
This session will provide an opportunity to hear about watering actions and outcomes for the current year, plus the proposed environmental watering regime for the Yarra (Birrarung) and Tarago & Bunyip Rivers in 2025/26. Learn about the role of environmental water in these systems and to add your contribution to the proposed watering regime for the year ahead.
The session will be facilitated by staff from Melbourne Water's Environmental Water Resources Planning and Delivery Teams. An MS Teams meeting invite link will be sent via email upon registration.
