Join us Saturday, April 12th 6-10pm for the opening reception of Sean Sweeney's debut Solo Exhibition "Nearsighted"
Sean Sweeney is a contemporary artist born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. He received a BFA from Georgia State University. Sean develops his artistic practice by referencing and utilizing traditional painting techniques along with visual elements found in film photography to create a unique perspective of life through the use of airbrush.
"My paintings reflect the world as I see it through my nearsighted perspective and personal experiences. Primarily working with airbrush, I use a combination of photograph and memory to juxtapose and breathe life into my compositions. Through the additional incorporation of resin and found objects as the "foreground", I aim to provide further context and enhance the captivating sense of photorealism."
