Ever fancied learning how to sing sea shanties?The Silver Darlings Sea Shanty crew will show you the ropes in an interactive workshop from 10.30am-12.30pm. Find out more about the traditions and histories of sea shanties and learn how to sing two songs.
The all-female crew of singers will perform a full set from 2pm-3.30pm, with workshop participants invited to show off their new skills.
Hailing from Southend on Sea, The Silver Darlings sing traditional shanties and other songs of the sea, blending two-three-part harmonies with a big dose of humour.
The workshop is suitable for ages 8+ and the following performance suitable for all.
