Restorative Justice is widely known to foster a culture of belonging and develop a shared language and experience around conflict. We believe Restorative Justice is a Relational Approach to Conflict and as such we need to develop our own conflict tolerance in-order to engage in conflict in healthy ways.
During this training we will provide practical hands on training. We will cover many strategies including relationship building circles, accountability circles, group author conferences, and restorative conferences.
We believe these strategies, including an understanding that this is a way of being in relationship with our educational peers and the youth we serve, can be a powerful tool to both create a deeper level of engagement and address problematic issues in our classrooms and schools. This is part one of a two part training for folks who are seeking to become certified trainers.
Dates: August 5th, 6th, and 7th. Time: 8:00am - 3:30pm

Breakfast pastries, snacks, coffee and tea are provided every day. There are great lunch options near by.
