About this Event

You're invited to SCRUM's Launch Party!

Join us for a night of live music and quizzes to raise money for SCRUM Theatre, a new charity dedicating to making the UK theatre industry fit for the future.

Inspired by our upcoming production of Twelfth Night, get ready for some fresh new takes on Shakespearean songs and quiz questions so wild, even the Bard would blush.

Each ticket includes a burger and a pint of beer or cider, or glass of house wine! All net proceeds will go towards funding SCRUM's charitable activities for 2023.

So come along to the Old Queen's Head Pub in Islington on Sunday 2nd April, and celebrate the launch of SCRUM Theatre!

Please note that Eventbrite adds a small booking fee of £3.22 to your ticket purchase.

Who are SCRUM Theatre?

We're a collective of artists working to introduce better standards for creating theatre in the UK. Currently, 70% of the industry is made up of freelance creatives, but these freelancers lack opportunities for community, collaboration, fair wages and a workplace culture that supports them. We founded SCRUM to make a model for working that's accessible, democratic, equitable and sustainable for artists.

We also want to inspire the next generation of makers and audiences. Every year, we will tour a production to community venues in ACE and DCMS Priority Places and Levelling Up for Culture areas across the UK, and we'll bring with us a package of skill-sharing labs for emerging makers, schools workshops, and digital multimedia resources.

SCRUM Theatre is a registered charity (no. 1201124) and is registered with the Fundraising Regulator. Find out more at scrumtheatre.co.uk.
