Come join West Virginia's Scrollathon! What is a Scrollathon you might ask? It is the brainchild of artists William and Steven Ladd. At a Scrollathon, you will:
*Make a scroll from two strips of fabric, tightly rolled together.
*Name your scroll, imbue it with a personal story or statement, and share its meaning on video.
*Assemble scrolls into a large-scale collaborative artwork.
*The artwork becomes a part of the Art Museum of WVU's collection and images will be displayed at the Kennedy Center in honor of the United States' 250th birthday.
All ages and abilities welcome. Free and open to the public.
Every person present must sign a program participation agreement (click the ticketing link below)
