This year, Mollee began teaching about birds and nature at Hazelton Federal Correctional Facility. Without access to optics, the outdoors, or even windows in the classrooms, she designed and taught a curriculum to spark curiosity and appreciation for the natural world. In this presentation, Mollee will share stories, student reflections, and lessons learned about how these classes transformed the way both she and her students see nature – and how such approaches can inspire connection in the most unexpected places. Please join us in person on Tuesday September 9th, 7pm at Percival Hall. We will meet at 5 pm for dinner prior to the presentation at Ta-khrai Thai Cafe on 2862 University Ave, Morgantown, WV 26505. Please email Cheyenne Carter; [email protected] to let her know you are coming. * Joining zoom is also available and the presentation will be recorded.
