Presenting:
- It's Not That Deep by Maureen Gleason
It’s Not That Deep is a dark, absurd solo piece set inside a submarine at the bottom of the ocean, where an eccentric captain keeps a group of “beautiful hostages” and a very particular object close at hand.
Maureen Gleason is a writer, performer and vocalist based in Berlin. She's appeared in projects around Berlin since 2022 and is currently developing her second solo piece, It’s Not That Deep, following her publicly funded debut work in 2025.
- The Playboy of the Modern World by Daniel Paul Carey
The Playboy of the Modern World is a two-person piece about the difficulties of being an authentic self and opening oneself up to others. The roles will be played by Joshua Spriggs and Izzy Rousmaniere.
Daniel Paul Finbar Carey is a Canadian-Irish playwright, actor, improviser, and poet. Having grown up in Luxembourg, where he studied acting in German and French, he went on to complete a bachelor's degree in American Studies in Leipzig, Germany. Central themes in his theatrical works are masculine fragility, the difficulties of open communication, and the awkwardness inherent in being human.
And a writing exercise to kick things off...
