Scoria
At its core, Scoria is a mix of alternative rock, shoegaze, and metal, projecting a face-melting wall of sound at each live performance. Scoria was formed in the DMV, playing high school parties, skate shops, taekwondo dojos, and any other shows in the area.
Texas Palm Tree
Texas Palm Tree is a three-piece band consisting of Aden Jacobs on drums, Hayden Minkoff on lead guitar, and Ian Bailey on vocals and rhythm guitar. For the most part, Texas Palm Tree plays a fusion of doom metal and classic DC hardcore, inspired by Bad Brains, Boris, and Nails.
ICUH
Formed in 2021, the Inbred Coked-Up Hippos are a 5-piece hardcore band based in Bethesda, Maryland. The members take influence from a variety of metal and punk bands including Melvins, System of a Down, Pantera, and Minor Threat. They started performing around the DMV in 2023, and are currently working on an album that will be available to stream in 2025.
