About this Event

Improved techniques, new and safer sclerosing agents, and high patient demand for in-office aesthetic procedures make Sclerotherapy Training for nurses and physicians a great way for any practice to expand their services. Over 80 million Americans suffer from unsightly venous disease, and the vast majority (75%) of these are cosmetic in nature. You will understand and be able to treat these issues upon completion of our training. Modern sclerotherapy methods are safe, effective, and do not cause substantial discomfort for patients.

Sclerotherapy by injection simply uses small amounts of detergent solutions to irritate the vein walls to achieve the ultimate closure of the unwanted vein. Cosmetic laser centers and vein clinics perform these procedures not only because they are lucrative and simple to perform but also because their patients receive impressive results using both laser vein therapies and sclerotherapy with FDA-approved detergent sclerosants. Our comprehensive sclerotherapy training will take you from consulting the prospective patient to using the latest techniques and protocols.

Prerequisite Sclerotherapy Training

After registering for a workshop, you will receive email confirmation that will give you access to all prerequisite and preparatory course materials using Empire's state-of-the-art educational portal (mymembersportal.com). The practitioner portal also includes vital information you will need for your practice, such as treatment forms, consent forms, patient intake forms, before/after photos, and much more.

You are required to complete the prerequisite coursework, which includes video, lecture presentations, and didactic materials (full-color manual), before attending the live patient practice hands-on training. You may also choose the EMPIRE-VIRTUAL-TRAINING™ and watch the required "live" presentations on your mobile device. Instructors encourage participant engagement through our online "chat" option. Each "virtual" session includes dedicated time for Q&A.

Live Patient Hands-On Training

Live patient hands-on practice training is offered through live workshops (see full calendar), Centers of Excellence (see calendar), and custom preceptorships (call to schedule). Perfecting your techniques in sclerotherapy requires not only a thorough understanding of how to perform these techniques but also hands-on training. A significant portion of the training is spent practicing injection techniques on live patients so that you feel comfortable performing these procedures on patients after the program.
