Have you ever used a pasta machine for printmaking?In this class we will do just that. We will create small cards you can use as postcards,
pictures, bind them together into an art book or come up with your own creative purpose.
Lene will teach you all the steps from the beginning with ideas and drawing tips, to the
creation of your own printing plates. For the printing plates she uses foam sheets that can
be cut into shapes with scissors easily scratched into with a pencil. You will make one or
more designs to be printed using a pasta maker as a printing roller.
This class covers and teaches many technical skills in a fun easy way.
Lene Toni Kjeld
Lene was born and raised in Denmark, where she studied textile design at Design School Kolding, graduating in 2004 with a master specialised in surface design. An internship at Faro Disegni in Rome, gave me a great insight in the surface design industry. The studio was based on artistic talent and most of their work was hand drawn, which still today is an important process in my own work.
