About this Event
The John Smith Centre and the Stevenson Trust are delighted to welcome Terry Szuplat, former speechwriter to President Barack Obama, to the University of Glasgow on March 30th.
In his only Scottish appearance on a UK-wide speaking tour, Terry will use a public event to set out the lessons from his new book Say It Well: Find Your Voice, Speak Your Mind, Inspire Any Audience.
The book shows how anyone who wants to try can become a better speaker, communicator and leader. In it, Terry also shows how we can all speak with the empathy, civility and honesty that our politics requires more than ever.
For anyone interested in the art of politics and public debate, this is a fantastic opportunity to learn from one of the most respected political writers in the USA.
The event kicks off at the Sir Charles Wilson Lecture Theatre, University Avenue at 5.30pm. Reserve your place now!
