African Friendship Society is inviting you to The African Village Experience in the Caribbean!
This event is to experience the JOY of gathering around the fire, sharing food, music and stories, and to cultivate Friendship with each other.
"UBUNTU. I am because We Are."
Join us from 5 pm and spend the evening together, with other great people from our community. We will sit by the fire, enjoy some drinks and snacks and nurturing traditional songs and rhythms from Africa.
A traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony will take place each hour: 5:30 pm, 6:30 pm and 7:30 pm.
With gentle LIVE MUSIC provided by Kocassale DIOUBATE and Yoro NOUKOUSSI.
CHILDREN ARE WELCOME....
Join us around the village fire and enjoy these complimentary treats:
• Specialty jerk chicken sandwich on a coco bun
• Jamaican patties (veggie, beef, chicken)
• Specialty hot cocoa made with unrefined cacao from Ghana
• Vegan Ethiopian snacks
