The Mt Vic Hub has been threatened with a total cut to it's funding by the chair of the council grants committee, in spite of WCC staff recommending that funding be maintained at current levels. This is a threat to take away funding and services from the Mt Vic Community. If this funding is pulled, there is no plan to replace it within anything.
This is just the latest example of Mt Vic being underserved by the council.
We're calling a public meeting to talk about this issue, but also the wider issues facing Mt Vic and what we can do to organise and build a stronger more connected community together.
There will be snacks provided and kid friendly activities available.
