MARTA CAPPONI - Italian born jazz singer, songwriter and improviser Marta Capponi moves with ease across genres like jazz, folk, original and Brazilian music, holding the audience with her strong communicative skills and vibrant energy she is an acclaimed artist of the UK and Italian Jazz scene.
Marta began her career at the early age of 12 and moved forward studying jazz at the Saint Louis College of Music of Rome and performing in the most prestigious Italian jazz festivals like Umbria Jazz and Ravello Jazz Festival playing with famous artists like Fabrizio Bosso, Javier Girotto, Giovanni Mazzarino, Bobby Durham, Max Ionata, Emiliano Caroselli and many more.
She moved to London in 2012 and quickly gaining the respect of the jazz community and performing in the most prestigious venues like Ronnie Scottβs, 606 Club, Pizza Express Jazz Club, playing with prominent musicians like Antonio Forcione, Gilad Atzmon, Andrew McCormack, Kevin Glasgow, Luca Boscagin, Davide Mantovani, Marcelo Andrade and many others.
In 2020 moving back to Rome, she released a jazz album called βLife Withinβ released at the end of 2024.
Elis Regina is a great inspiration for Marta and her love for Brazilian and jazz music results in an absolute masterpiece tribute to the singer.
