Jumpstart your InvestFest weekend and join us for a spine-tingling evening of live jazz with New York-based, but one of Atlanta's own, rising jazz stars! Bassist and vocalist Devon Gates will perform with her trio featuring Eden Mastriani-Levi on piano and Jayden Richardson on drums. Enjoy Apache's incredible scratch kichen entrees, craft cocktails, and Atlanta's best jazz.

Born and raised Atlanta bassist/vocalist Devon Gates reunites with pianist Eden Mastriani-Levi and drummer Jayden Richardson to present a dynamic night of original music for trio. All three are fellow alums of the GSU Rialto Jazz Youth Orchestra combo program, where they met in 2019, and have since become emerging stars of the jazz scenes in New York, Boston, and Chicago. They return to Apache Café to present Gates’ newest project, a blend of modern jazz, soul, and folk-inspired compositions and arrangements of old favorites.

Gates has worked with Terri Lyne Carrington, Linda May Han Oh, Vijay Iyer, Danilo Perez, Claire Chase, Yosvanny Terry, and esperanza spalding, and has performed with Social Science, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Susie Ibarra, Michael Mayo, Alexa Tarantino, Immanuel Wilkins, Kenny Werner, and Tia Fuller. In 2020, she released her first EP, “Voice/Bass” on Bandcamp, followed by the release of single “skipped that step” in spring 2023. In 2022 her original composition “Don’t Wait” was published in Berklee Press’ “New Standards” collection of 101 lead sheets by female jazz composers.

Table reservations are generally held until one (1) hour after doors open but make sure to refer to the event's specific ticket rules on Eventbrite; if you have not redeemed your table reservation by the specified time, you will lose your reservation and your table will be made available to others without refund.
2. Table tickets are not required to attend, but they are recommended for guaranteed table seating. Try arriving early to be seated at an open an free table
3. All reserved and walk-up tables have a (1) entree or (2) drink Min.
4. A table ticket entitles you to the entire table with the described number of chairs. Do not purchase a table ticket for each person sitting with you at this table.
5. General admission ticket is required per person to enter venue. Purchasing a table reservation does not include the price of admission. Admission may be purchased by selecting General Admission tickets or at the venue upon arrival.
6. Table reservation fees do not go towards food or beverage, admission or gratuity.
7. There are no refunds on table reservations (except event cancellations) additionally, seating/table arrangements or changes to them are non negotiable and provide no cause for refund.
8. When you enter the venue, please see the Hostess to be seated and be prepared to show your reservation purchase credit card and picture ID before you are seated.
