About the Show
In this show, Jennie the Cat learns about different ways to enjoy wintertime with her friends—including you! Jennie the Cat programs feature soft hand puppets, original music, and audience interaction. About the Artist
The mission of the Puppet Co. is to present professionally produced puppet theater reflecting excellence in both performance and visual experience as a means to excite the public about the potential of puppetry. As a Center for Exploration of the Puppet Arts, the Puppet Co. brings professional puppetry performances to its audience along with supporting puppetry education through classes, workshops, demonstrations, publications, and exhibitions. The Puppet Co. uses hand puppets, rod puppets, body puppets, marionettes, and shadow puppets to stage both original works and traditional children’s stories. The Puppet Co. Playhouse at Glen Echo Park is one of the few theatres designed exclusively for puppet shows and is the only year-round theater between New York and Atlanta dedicated entirely to the art of puppetry. This unique Washington D.C. area resource brings wonderful music and literature to life for students, teachers, and parents through live, fully-staged productions of some of the finest children's theater in the country.
