Rev. Dr. Curtiss Paul DeYoung is an author, activist, and academic. He recently retired as Co-CEO of the Minnesota Council of Churches.
DeYoung previously served as the Executive Director of the historic racial justice organization Community Renewal Society in Chicago. Dr. DeYoung was the inaugural Professor of Reconciliation Studies at Bethel University in St. Paul, MN. He is an alumnus of Howard University School of Divinity. Rev. DeYoung served on staff at congregations in Minneapolis, New York City, and Washington, DC.
He is an author and editor of thirteen books on racial justice, reconciliation, social justice activism, and cultural competency. With South African anti-apartheid activist Allan Boesak, he co-authored Radical Reconciliation: Beyond Political Pietism and Christian Quietism.
His newest book is The Risk of Being Woke: Sermonic Reflections for Activists.

The Rainbow PUSH Coalition, founded in 1996 through the merger of Operation PUSH and the National Rainbow Coalition, has been a beacon of hope and change for decades.
- Operation PUSH (est. 1971): Fighting for economic justice, educational opportunities, and community empowerment since 1971.
- National Rainbow Coalition (est. 1984): Uniting a coalition of people to use their resources to move beyond racial battle ground to economic common ground and on to moral higher ground.
Together, Rainbow PUSH has championed critical causes such as voting rights, healthcare access, and education reform, shaping a legacy of resilience and hope.
