Join us for a special Sashiko Workshop in collaboration with visible repair expert . This session will introduce you to the traditional Japanese art of Sashiko, a beautiful and mindful mending practice.
During this calming and inspiring workshop, you’ll explore the cultural significance of Sashiko and learn its essential techniques. You’ll practise different Sashiko stitches to create geometric patterns on fabric swatches provided by Renée Materials before moving on to repair your own garments.
What’s included:
- Tools, scissors, and practice samples.
- A variety of Sashiko threads.
- Refreshments throughout the session.
Feel free to bring along a well-worn item (denim, cotton, or linen) you'd like to repair and personalise.
No prior sewing experience needed—just bring your creativity!
