Theatreship's favourite cellist/performer/artist Abi Asisa returns to present the eighteenth edition of Sapphic Movie Nights (on a boat).
Sapphic Cinema – an event dedicated to highlighting FLINTA (femme, lesbian, intersex, non-binary, trans and gender) stories within queer cinema. This special Valentine's afternoon screening will feature Stud Life - a gender-queer rom-com with a difference. The film will be followed by poetry peformed by artist Blankfacebails.

A street-smart, queer drama set in East London. JJ (T’Nia Miller), a Black lesbian stud, and her gay best friend Seb (Kyle Treslove) navigate a fierce platonic bond and the Hackney "bro-code." Their loyalty is tested when JJ falls for the sophisticated Elle (Robyn Kerr), forcing a confrontation between new desire and chosen family.
Bailee Cordice @blankfacebails (they/them); a poet, producer and artist making experimental electronic music that is interested in the abstraction of the black british experience. they recently released “INGRID” - a song which takes inspiration from “Pastoral Interludes” by Ingrid Pollard and they are releasing more music, videos and photography projects this year.
