This is a Contact Improv Jam with Live Music By Aaron Reihs (bio below). We will Jam til 9:30 pm.Opening circle is just after 6:30 with our half hour warm-up class lead by Marie Osterman (bio below) immediately following.

Aaron Reihs is a composer of experimental ambient and film music based in Los Angeles, California. Combining woodwinds, synthesizers, guitars, vocals, noise, and sound design, Reihs produces layered soundtrack-like pieces that evoke the natural landscapes that inspire them. Reihs's work as a composer. sound artist, and live performer has led him to working on films, television shows, dance work, virtual reality, and art installations, and has produced two solo EPs – "Cinema Subconscious" (2021) and his most recent work, "Pathways" (2024).
Marie is an improviser, teacher, and theatre artist based in Los Angeles. Marie (literally) fell in love with CI at 15 yrs. old, and has been performing and practicing since. They’ve taught CI since 2019 in the US, CAN, and EU. Marie is curious about approaching CI through a lens of compassionate mischief, inviting readiness and chaos through play and physically rigorous curiosity. Among others, Marie has studied with Nita Little, Anya Cloud, Sara Shelton Mann, Lower Left Collective, Ezra LeBank. They also organize the LA Underscore, and co-organize Long Beach CI Fest and California CI Teachers Exchange in Berkeley.
