Abnormal Uterine Bleeding- a clinical guide to assessment and management for the naturopathic practitioner
About this Event

Abnormal Uterine Bleeding (AUB) is defined as an increase in frequency, duration or volume of blood loss. There are various potential causes for AUB, and these will be detailed as part of the discussion of assessment. The nomenclature for the description of symptoms will be reviewed, as many of the terms have been abandoned. Most importantly, clinical guidelines will be outlined for assessment of AUB emphasizing safety concerns and scope of practice for the naturopathic practitioner and referral recommendations. Medical, pharmaceutical and herbal management options will be presented. Three cases will be presented to highlight and review the learning, making this a very clinically relevant presentation.
