About this Event
Sandra Bouza is a voice of power and passion, with songs that touch your heart and fuel your soul, she is a performer to remember. She was the 2019 winner of the Toronto Blues Society’s Talent Search and represented Toronto in the 2020 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee earning her way to the semi finals and carrying her dynamic representation of the Toronto blues scene to the world. You can hear echoes of Etta James and Carla Thomas in Bouza’s powerful and highly nuanced phrasing. Like Amy Winehouse and Adele, Sandra’s absorbed a lot from listening to the greats from the golden age of R and B, and like them, she has emerged with a style that is all her own.
