Coming up on Sunday December 15th the San Antonio Tweed Ride & Toy Drive will be Celebrating 14 years of Bicycles, Charity and Fashionable Fun.It's truly amazing that it has gone this far and wouldn't have been possible without the generosity of the San Antonio cycling community.
This year is going to be special. I can’t wait to see everybody back on their bikes and enjoying the Holidays.
Once again I'll be collecting new unwrapped toys to donate to Elf Louise Christmas Project.
I’ve curated a lovely ride around downtown and beyond
ending at the traditional spot at Brackenridge Park,
for some Potluck Holiday Snacks and Drinks.
Come out and ride with us for an affable and easy cruise.
San Antonio Tweed Ride and Toy Drive 2024

- The San Antonio Tweed Ride and Toy Drive is a fashionable, fun and charitable group bicycle ride through downtown and beyond, in which the cyclists are expected to dress in traditional Early American or British cycling attire, particularly tweed suits. Also twill, houndstooth, herringbone and argyle is cool.
- Any bicycle is acceptable on the Tweed Ride, but classic vintage bicycles are encouraged. Some effort to recreate the spirit of a bygone era is always appreciated.
- A festive and fun filled day in your "Sunday Best!"
-Tweed Rides are a worldwide phenomenon, started in London in the fall of 2009 as “The Tweed Run London.” Promoted as a slower-paced “metropolitan ride with a bit style” they dressed up in tweeds, rode their bikes through London streets celebrating the bike and raising money for a good cause.
- I’m also taking donations of new unwrapped toys for children of all ages that are still in the packaging.
