We warmly invite you to our intensive tango weekend, June 6-7. From head to heel, in both stillness and motion, we’ll explore how the body can move grounded, connected, and emotionally alive. Our aim for this weekend is to share with you some of the things we love the most <3 . We will focus on dynamic variations -timing, energy, pauses and direction- and offer practical tools to refine interpretation and musicality through these elements. Our approach, as always, emphasizes on body awareness, balancing activation and relaxation to improve the quality and ease of the movement. We value proposing, receiving, and sharing space with our partner- where listening, dialogue, and honest expression unfold for a deeper communication.
We offer five workshops, 7.5 hours in total, for higher intermediate and advanced dancers.

Saturday:
11:00-12:30 WS1: Connection and caminata
Dive into our fundamental principles for the weekend. Walking with groundness and lightness, stability and expansion.
12.30-14.00 Lunch break
14.00-15.30: WS2: Articulation and free leg movement - Free leg movements with ganchos and barridas.
16.00-17.30: WS3: Grounding and elasticity - Acceleration and dynamic movements for a rhythmical touch.
20.30 - Saturday Milonga at Oceanen in collaboration with World Dance Company with DJ Ahella! Separete event for more info coming!
Sunday:
11.30-13.00: WS4: Pauses and contrast - Dialogue, impulses and musicality in paradas.
13.00-14.30: Lunch break
14.30-16.00: WS5: Proprioception and independence - Intention and spatial awareness. Embrace releasing and soltadas.

We encourage you to register as couples if possible. You are also welcome to register single but we cannot hold or guarantee you a spot. If we find you a match we will let you know! We advice you also to ask around to find a partner for the weekend.

📍 Location: All workshops take place at World Dance Company/ Oceanen, Stigbergstorget 7! You can bring your own lunch, warm in the micro or go to the cafés nearby.

About the teachers – Ademir Aleman and Samira Abutaleb Rosenlundh
Ademir and Samira have been dancing and teaching together since 2018. Their collaboration is grounded in a shared interest in tango as an evolving dance form, with a strong emphasis on communication, musicality, and mutual presence within the couple.
In their teaching, they aim to support dancers in refining technique while also encouraging individual expression. Their approach values clarity, body awareness, and the ability to respond to one another in movement with softness. They create a learning environment that is structured yet open, with space for exploration, questions, and dialogue.
Drawing from a wide range of influences—traditional tango, yoga and contemporary movement practices—they offer tools that help dancers grow both technically and artistically. Together, they bring many years of experience, both as teachers and performers, and a commitment to creating meaningful learning experiences.
