We are pleased to welcome Mr. Bryan Lance of the Cheyenne Veterans Administration as the featured speaker for our March 3 meeting. Mr. Lance will provide an in-depth briefing on the Emergency Department construction project currently underway at the Cheyenne VA Medical Center.

This $20.9 million expansion significantly enhances the existing Emergency Department, increasing its size from approximately 3,000 square feet to 7,500 square feet—an overall capacity increase of roughly 150 percent. The project includes renovation of the current space as well as the addition of a third-floor expansion designed to improve patient flow, increase treatment capacity, and ensure compliance with current codes and healthcare standards.

Construction began in 2025 and is anticipated to continue through 2027. Notably, emergency services are remaining fully operational throughout the duration of the project, requiring careful coordination and phased construction planning. The scope of work includes demolition, structural modifications, and comprehensive upgrades to mechanical, electrical, and telecommunications systems.

This presentation will provide valuable insight into the planning, execution, and operational considerations associated with delivering complex healthcare infrastructure improvements within an active medical facility.
