ABOUT SARAH
"Performer, poet, Alexander Technique teacher, I work at this crossroads combining politics, philosophy, art, practices, and popular education, connecting intimate and public spaces. I create listening situations of language, representations, bodies movements, to propose tipping points. The forms in which I deploy are writing, performance, publishing, alone or with others. My editorial practice is plural, each project being an opportunity to experiment forms: performances (installation New skin, around menopause, 2023, Script-album, 2018), website (pourtours.fr in 2016, Script- album.fr in 2018), artist book (Script-album, 2018, If everything tightens, 2020), book-cd(Breath of stones, 2009, The braid, 2010)..
co-creator of Sonnets 3 fois,
Since 2012, I have been co-artistic director of Sonnets 3 fois, a company born from a meeting with Coralie Neuville, dancer and performer. Our desire to explore and to transform the relationships between the outside and the inside (public squares, houses,
subjectivities) gave rise to a series of actions based on a sharedethic: welcoming, supporting, allowing, including, making borders porous, touching and letting oneself be touched. By delving deeper into the transformative arts of Body Mind Centering and the Alexander Technique, we have gradually integrated the notions of care, attention and sensitivity into our aesthetics. Considering our living environment as the first space on which to act, we have been working for 10 years in Saint Antonin Noble Val (82) and its surroundings, notably creating collective performances, designed for and with the inhabitants, presented in public spaces to renew the existing balance.
Invited in 2007 to the annual meeting of network the artists Alternate Roots (USA), I established links with the Core Dance company (Atlanta) working for social change through performances. Since 2015, I have been writing, dancing and participating in the design of some of the creations of her choreographer, Sue Schroeder.
I followed literary and technical training, a degree in modern literature, a master engineer in book trades, a degree in writing workshop facilitator, while training in the performing arts (singing, theater, dance), and Alexander Technique (2014-2022)."
