Community Music Circle @ The Fairfield offers engaging, community-centered music lessons taught primarily through piano while incorporating rhythm, movement, games, percussion, and creative group activities.

Participant experience will include:

  • Beginner piano instruction
  • Rhythm and percussion games
  • Musical movement activities
  • Group participation
  • Creative exercises
  • Basic music concepts
  • Performance confidence

Lessons are designed to be interactive, accessible, and enjoyable for learners of all ages.

Rather than focusing solely on technical instruction, Community Music Circle encourages participants to build musical confidence through hands-on learning, creativity, play, and shared community experience.

Each session may include a blend of structured teaching, musical games, creative exploration, and community connection—making music education both approachable and joyful.

The Fairfield (Thomas Residence) – Brook Glen

Schedule:
Tuesday Mornings, 11 -12 Noon
1x/week | 1 Hour Sessions

Starting: June 2 - July 28, 2026 (No lesson June 9)

Beginners, aspiring musicians, families, and community members seeking joyful musical connection.



Mission

Community Music Circle @ The Fairfield exists to make music education more accessible while fostering meaningful community through shared learning, generosity, and reciprocal exchange.

This is more than a lesson.
It is a porch-centered gathering where music, relationship, and resource-sharing can grow together.



What to Expect

Each weekly session includes:

Welcome + Community Check-In (10 min)
Grounding, introductions, and shared intention

Group Piano Instruction (40 min)
Foundational music concepts, rhythm, keyboard familiarity, creativity, and collaborative learning led by the featured instructor (April or guest instructors)

Community Exchange + Fellowship (10 min)
Optional participation in resource-sharing, offerings, and community connection



Payment/Contribution/Exchange Model

Participation is supported through one of the following ways:



Option 1: Financial Contribution

Suggested donation:
$10–$25 per session

Financial gifts directly support the featured music instructor for that session.



Option 2: Practical Contribution

Examples:

  • Fresh fruit or healthy snacks for lesson gatherings
  • Lesson setup assistance (chairs, keyboard prep, materials)
  • Lesson cleanup support
  • Garden support for The Fairfield grounds
  • Printed lesson materials or flyers
  • Musical supplies or basic teaching resources
