Chamber Principals of London brings together leading principals from London’s foremost orchestras and professors from top conservatoires in a dynamic ensemble renowned for artistry and versatility. Praised for their debut at the Teatro Verdi di Salerno, they perform across classical and contemporary repertoire in formations of every size.
For this first Salon Evening, founder and Concertmaster of the Royal Opera House Sergey Levitin, a prizewinner at the Lipizer and Paganini International Violin Competitions, joins Josephine Knight, Professor of Cello at the Royal Academy of Music and one of the UK’s most distinguished cellists. Together they have appeared at major festivals including Salzburg, the BBC Proms, Edinburgh, and White Nights, collaborated with leading artists from Maxim Vengerov to Sir Antonio Pappano, and recorded for labels including EMI Classics, Deutsche Grammophon, Decca, and Dutton Epoch.
