Description: Join us for a Hallowe’en and All Saints’ Day themed walk, uncovering the light and dark sides of Holyrood Park’s history of saints and sinners. Hear chilling tales of criminals, pestilence and M**der, as well as the lives of the holy men and women of Holyrood throughout the centuries.
Age: This walk may not be suitable for children under 16 years of age.
Grade: Moderate. Route has some rougher paths and elevation. Duration 2.5 hours
Route: St. Anthony’s Chapel, Hunter’s Bog, Duddingston Low Road, Duddingston Village. Please note that this walk has a non-circular route and ends at Duddingston Village. See map below for location of finishing point.
Bring: Warm, waterproof clothing and sturdy footwear with good grips. A snack and a drink.
Toilets: Toilets are available at the Holyrood Park Education Centre (EH8 8HG). No toilets on the walk itself.
Parking: Parking available at Broad Pavement Car Park
Disabled: Rough tracks, steep inclines, may not suitable for disabled. Although guided walks for disabled can be arranged.
Dogs: Dogs are not permitted except assistance dogs.
