About this Event
Join us in-person for Safer Futures: Supporting Children Exposed to Domestic Violence in Psychotherapy!
Co-sponsored by Shared Safety Philadelphia, the Behavioral Health & Training Education Network, and the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
Psychotherapists in the greater Philadelphia region are invited to the Safer Futures Conference. The conference will be at no cost and offer 5.5 CEs for social workers, LPCs, and LMFTs.
We recognize that different forms of violence are interconnected. As such, Safer Futures aims to build our city's capacity for early therapeutic intervention into these cycles of violence. Speakers and panelists from across the East Coast will provide clinical training on:
- the psychological, developmental, and physiological impacts of witnessing domestic violence on children;
- common clinical themes, barriers, and interventions;
- and the application of systemic intervention via parenting support.
Register by Wednesday, August 6th to secure your spot!
CHOP is a pre-approved provider of continuing education credits for Pennsylvania Licensed Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Professional Counselors. Participants licensed in Pennsylvania who attend the full workshop and complete the required evaluation are eligible for 5.5 Continuing Education Credits.
