8:50pm ALGIS FEDIAJEVAS
Algis Fediajevas is an actively touring Lithuanian artist who plays music which can be called psychedelic folk. Basing his songs on the dialogues between buzzing, vibrating, and uniquely sounding acoustic guitar, and sometimes calm, sometimes aggressive vocals, Algis lets his music ramble: from folky melodies to meditative Eastern sounds and dissonant explosions. All this creates a distinctive shamanic style. Algis has already released four studio albums. His latest, called "Po trejų metų" ("After three years"), was released in October of 2023.
"There is a certain dank coldness here, and Fediajevas's voice sometimes tends towards an angry growl, like a character in a folk tale who suddenly shows the sharp teeth of a wolf" – The Wire
"While Algis sings in his native Lithuanian tongue, his voice and atmospheric melodies have a deeply engaging honesty that crosses any possible language barrier and can be appreciated by everyone" – Folk Radio UK

9:45pm PSYCHOYOGI
PsychoYogi's music is a diverse mixture of instrumental colours, melodies, and words. Containing an abundance of unusual time signatures and rich chord structures, the songs present political critique with lyrics that question western social values. The music is challenging, though accessible, influenced by progressive rock, jazz and music that is slightly left of centre - think Frank Zappa, King Crimson Captain Beefheart, Tom Waits, Gong, Gentle Giant, Bartok, Messiaen, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Primus, Tool, etc. Fronted by singer, songwriter & guitarist Chris Ramsing, the band released their 15th studio album 'Astro Therapy Brain Repair' last year.
"Their sound is unparalleled and cannot be categorised. It is a rejection of docile adherence to a single musical style" – Mike O'Toole (Beat Magazine)
"Psychoyogi fuse together the sounds of jazz and cabaret, classical and rock to create music, which is stimulating through its very diversity" – Tharunka
