Join the monks of Gaden Shartse Phukhang Khangsten for the opening ceremony of their exquisite 4-day sand mandala creation at Faena Hotel.
We are honored to be co-presenting this unique program by the monks for their Miami visit in April 2024.
Their U.S. tour aims to share their culture, meditation practices, and inner peace paths. The second purpose of tour is the construction of a new Khangtsen or dormitory. With only 120 rooms for 450 monks, sharing one room among three has become challenging. To address this, we've decided to construct 60 new rooms to improve living standards, especially for elder Geshe (senior lamas). Therefore, all proceeds of this ceremony will go towards the construction of this new dormitory.

?? Who: The Great Mahakala is non-profit organization whose mission is to spread compassion and heal the community by sponsoring and presenting uplifting spiritual and cultural events. We maintain a Retreat House in Miami, Florida which is available for groups and individual retreats.
? Where: Faena Hotel (3201 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach)
? Parking: Valet parking at Faena Hotel or municipal lot 1 block north of Faena
♥️ Bring: A towel or blanket to sit on & refillable water bottle and an open heart
? Tickets: This session is pay-what-you-wish. The suggested contribution is $25, but you feel free to adjust down or up.
