About this Event
Talk Description
Many SABSA-qualified architects leave the classroom inspired, only to struggle when faced with the realities of applying SABSA in a live organisation. This event begins with a practical, honest account of what it takes to make SABSA work in the real world. Drawing on an active enterprise adoption journey, the talk explores how to choose a sensible starting point, limit initial scope to avoid overwhelm, secure stakeholder buy-in, and strike the right balance between architectural rigour and maintainability.
Following the talk, the session shifts into a facilitated peer discussion, hosted by SABSA World. Attendees are invited to share their own experiences—what has worked, where progress has stalled, and the challenges they are currently facing—and to seek advice and support from fellow security architects in the room. This interactive discussion creates a safe, practitioner-led space for shared learning, collective problem-solving, and honest reflection, helping bridge the gap between SABSA theory and practical, sustainable delivery. Audience participation is central, turning individual experience into collective insight and actionable next steps.
